UNAIDS calls for improved access to condoms for all who need them

On International Condom Day, UNAIDS is calling for countries to remove barriers that hinder access to, and the use of, condoms. Condoms are an effective means of preventing HIV and sexually transmitted infections. For example, the gap between availability and need in sub-Saharan Africa—the region most affected by HIV—is estimated to be more than 3 billion condoms.

Community Consensus Statement on Access to HIV Treatment and its Use for Prevention

Launched today, the Community Consensus Statement is a basic set of principles aimed at making sure that happens.
